Wow, so profound. You're like a retarded Confucius!

The gargoyle makes another lame attempt at humor . . . FAIL!

Facts do not have to be humorous.

No facts are present in either of your replies - TWIN FAIL!

Or yours! Cool

Basically, we want a return to forward thinking instead of the backwardness of the right! They don't want stem cell research or a woman's right to choose, which is why the election HAD to be stolen for them to send us on this God awful path and narrowmindedness, we've had to endure!

America is the laughing stock of the world, because of their ignorance! Cool

Hi Teeny, ci and all:

I haven't been online for awhile...lots of family issues....

Sounds like the our friends on the opposite side of the political spectrum are getting desperate.

Hmmm, can't say I blame them. Eh?

Wow! How are you? I've undergone some changes too, lost family members, been to christenings, funerals and parties! Such is life! Glad to know you're still around! Cool

Welcome back VN-nurse. I note you joined A2K just days after I did (way back in Dec 2002)

Pollster.com has an electoral vote (EV) map based on an amagamation of polls. Washingtonpost.com has an interactive map where you can construct your own scenario of how the EV's might turn out. You can save it and make changes when you see fit.

It might be fun to see what yall think. Right now I have it as Blue: 294; Red: 142; Unclear: 89.

Vietnamnurse, Good to see you! Hope all is working out on the home front.
Getting old is not for sissies, and I've had my share of discomforts during the past year. The prostate cancer treatment I had late last year developed into a bleeding prostate, so the doc did a colonoscopy and zapped the bleeders.

Talk about "uncomfortable," I wouldn't want my worst enemies to suffer the same.

Hi Teeny! Lost Daddy, am busy helping Mom, and dealing with siblings that are a little lost. Not to say that I am in the best of shape after losing a real big star in my life. He was one in a million.

RealJohnBoy:

I have seen the poll and am really happy. Have you seen the front page of the Washington Post? Looks like Virginia will be in the blue column even without Kaine if he is not chosen for Veep. I hope not, but it is not because I don't like him. I think Obama is going to pick someone who has not has his name out in front. I just have a feeling. Maybe wrong....

I am so sorry you were ill. I, too had my gall bladder removed in April and now facing hand surgery, from arthritis! Who knew? I have my blood pressure and sugar finally under control. Quit smoking and gained 10 pounds. Smoking again, so I can lose it! I know, it's bad for me, but I need help! I'm blowing up! I should have my mouth sewn shut! Cool

Glad you're here, Nurse!

I am sorry for the loss of your dad, VN-Nurse. I hope everthing will stabilize for you.
Kaine is a rising star but he would not be my choice for VP. My pick would have been Richardson from NM, but I seem to be p*ssing in the wind.
Virginia will go for Obama. I guarantee it or I will by a virtual steak dinner for everyone. Veggie burgers for those who don't eat meat.

(ps Rama talks in riddles).

teenyboone, Thanks for your concern, but I'm doing just fine. My general health has always been pretty good, and many strangers, especially on my travels when I meet new friends, tell me I look good for my age. LOL I've also been diagnosed with pre-diabetic, so must watch my sugar intake. My problem is my love for chocolate and ice cream. oh, well!

c.i. and Teeny!

I am so sorry to hear about you....getting older definitely is not for sissies! But Teeny...smoking again to lose weight? I am going to knock on your door! We don't live that far away remember? You take care of yourself! We need you. If you don't shape up I will get a hold of STEEEEVE! Ha!

c.i. , my husband went through very similar circumstances in '98 and is doing well now. Take care of yourself, OK?

Thank you so much for your concern! I was heartened today, by my blood tests results, my blood pressure and general well being. I'm catching up on my interrupted Spring Cleaning! Throwing everything out, in case I move!
I don't where the stuff came from! Giving it all to charity! My favorite Thrift Store, sells my things right away. What they don't sell, they give away, too!
I'm just glad to be alive! I'll be 64 on the 29th! I'm lovin' it! Cool

RealJohnBoy,

We did join at the same time...but I have read here more than I have written. Many times I think it is like hitting one's head against the wall or talking to oneself to write. So, I hold back.

I don't think any one person can save this country now that it is in a slide. But I will not for a minute vote for a man who will keep this country at war and maintain Bush's failed policies. If nothing else, I think about my children, grandchildren and their children. Obama will be tested, but I do not think he will be found wanting. He has a great mind and he is so centered. I was chosen as an apprentice to help with the Obama campaign and couldn't do it because it would mean 6 weeks away from my family at a very bad time. But just the thought of doing work like that was a thrill. My husband said when I was chosen that I looked like "a kid that was so excited." Yeah, I was...

H2O_MAN: I am wondering about this guy Barr from your state of GA who is running as a 3rd party candidate. Does he have any support? Obviously he won't win, but could he nab a few % points? How many, would you predict? And would those come from Mr McCain?
Thank you. -RJB-
