Does it appear to you that I am doing such a thing?

I'm sure you can find something better then this lame line of attack, Tico. Perhaps you can find a way to make yourself look even dumber, by defending more obvious lies. That would be entertaining.

What "lame attack" are you referring to, Cyclops? My implication that you are a pothead? Or are you referring to the clearly jocular discussion regarding Obama's preference for all things herbal?

You need to relax. Just toke up and chill, dude.

I was referring to the one you were forwarding.

I think that painting Obama as a drug-user is definitely part of the 'smear him into the ground!' strategy that McCain and the Republicans have decided is their only hope for winning this Fall.

I am pretty relaxed - but, that's the state that one is usually in when their team holds a solid lead and the other can't seem to get their act together.

Whose painting him as a drug user?
He admitted it himself.

Do you have any links to back up this claim?

I just don't recall much mention of it except for his cigarette addiction.

Hey, I didn't paint him as a druggie ... that blame falls squarely on Rollin One magazine.

Obama is now sinking to new lows and once again trying to pander to the "minorities" with more handouts.

This statement above is made by a member of the so called minority and I am deeply offended by these racist comments made by Obama.

CHICAGO ยป Sen. Barack Obama, speaking to a gathering of minority journalists yesterday, stopped short of endorsing an official U.S. apology to American Indians but said the country should acknowledge its history of poor treatment of certain ethnic groups.

"There's no doubt that when it comes to our treatment of Native Americans as well as other persons of color in this country, we've got some very sad and difficult things to account for," Obama told hundreds of attendees of UNITY '08, a convention of four minority journalism associations.

The Hawaii-born senator, who has told local reporters that he supports the federal recognition bill for native Hawaiians drafted by U.S. Sen. Daniel Akaka, noted other ethnic groups but did not mention native Hawaiians when answering a question about his thoughts on a formal U.S. apology to American Indians.

"I personally would want to see our tragic history, or the tragic elements of our history, acknowledged," the Democratic presidential hopeful said.

"I consistently believe that when it comes to whether it's Native Americans or African-American issues or reparations, the most important thing for the U.S. government to do is not just offer words, but offer deeds."

http://starbulletin.com/2008/07/28/news/story05.html

This US Govt HAS done more the "offer words" and apparently Obama is either too stupid or ignorant to understand the realities.

As a Native American, I have certain "advantages" no one else in this country has. I have used some to better myself and I no longer need Govt to help me. The same can be said for "African Americans" who have certain advantages that no one else has in this country.

The problem is many "minorities" fail to use these advantages to better themselves and still look for handouts from "Big Brother" in Govt.

Obama is looking more and more like a smooth talking chump and many of my fellow Natives have begun to realize this.

Yeah, all those advantages African Americans have, boy, it's hard to see why they aren't running the whole show by now!

there's a difference between recreational drug use in one's youth, and continued drug use as a candidate for president.

It IS a smear; it's part of the black/muslim/different narrative that the GOP is trying to paint on him.

Thanks for your opinion. Most don't agree with you. The past several elections have shown that recreational drug use as a youth is not an impediment to the presidency, whereas continued use as an adult is seen that way.
