Impeach Bush!!!

Let's assume that all of the charges in this article are correct (and I might even accept this assumption to be a correct one).

How would an impeachment help anyone?

It seems that liberals are best served by Bush, crippled as he is, remaining in office. Every month now he is being held accountable for another of his crimes; this month corruption, the other month Iraq; the next month Katrina.

An impeachment fight right now-- in the middle of a disaster in Iraq and domestic strife at home; would be a very bad thing for every sector of the country-- including progressives.

It would not only further divide the country; it would distract from the very real issues where progressive voices are being heard.

There is a big difference between constructive anger and bitter hatred. Constructive anger will motivate people to speak out on issues, form coalitions and make a different.

This impeachment movement is a trap.

Cheney approval rating is 18% and he is not liked so it doesn't matter. He doesn't have the likeability factor so it works against them.

I was part of a Impeachment movement early on. Another movement is staring but we would have to impeach about 10 people down the line not just one. Of coarse It would send a good message and reassert the power of the people and boost morale.

liking him has nothing to do with succession. bush goes out one door of the oval and cheney slithers in.

considering that cheney is the guy who pushed, along with his neo-con pals, for the iraq business and some of the other "screw you" situations we've got going on these days, do you really want him to be the commander in chief of the world's most powerful war machine ?
