Help, I'd like some inside info before a possible job change

Good morning all,

I was hoping someone here might be able to help me out with a little inside info. I'm interviewing (hopefully) sometime in the near future with a hedge fund firm in NYC. The company is Exis Capital Management and I was curious to know more about their work environment and anything else really.

Right now I have a decent job in finance but it's not really going anywhere fast. I'm two years out of college with an Business Economics degree and this is not how I pictured my first job to be. Hedge Funds seem like a much more interesting (albeit riskier) field with the possibility of a higher salary. If they make me an offer I'd love to jump on it but I'd just like to hear something about the firm firsthand. I didn't find much while searching online.

Thanks in advance for any help, Ron Smile

I don't see a web site for them. I don't trust a firm without a web site.

Thanks, I know. Now you see why I'm a bit reluctant.

Two years out of college in your first job, be patient. You have plenty of time to make your mark, and you are still just learning about the world. Take your time, and make moves intelligently. A jump into the dark might as easily end in a 30 story fall as into a garden of delight. Hedge your bets, and limit the risks. Generally, one cuts their teeth in conservative, well-managed and established firms before branching out into riskier environments. Build networks that will both provide future opportunities and insurance against catestrophic failure.

If you take the BIG RISK, only do it with your eyes wide open.
