BTW-- in rural areas, like mine, with people getting killed hunting every season, the local PD asks a few questions, and that's it. Of course, if it seemed odd, I'm sure they'd conduct what they consider a proper investigation.
The good ole boys don't get too exercised about anything, though. Not in these parts... Things are not done exacly the same in all regions, I'm sure. Maybe the multi-named dude can tell us about hunting in San Francisco...
