Ok here is the deal.

I have been offered a role with a leading bank as a personal assistant to a high level exec position. I told them I would get back to them tomorrow morning after i have considered it.

Tomorrow morning at 8am, i have an interview with a consultant firm for another bank. The have recently aquired a smaller company and need an exec to the CEO who can double as HR Officer. (smallish - med sized)

I've just completed a Bachelor of Business (HR Major). I finnished in December.

what to do? do i accept the first role? or do i just go to meet his other guy... do i decline the first role if i am put forward for the second. But then if i dont get the second i am way back at square one.

I guess i better just wait and see how it goes tomorrow morning... Confused

I don't see how you're at square one if you don't take the second one.

Interview for the second one, find out which position is a better fit, and make a decision. Call back the first firm after your interview.

You didn't mention comparitive salaries, but having HR experience could be a plus. If you want to eventually move full-time into HR, it's better experience for the resume.

Also - you can probably put off the bank, at least for a day or 2. And I believe you can tell them that you're interviewing with other companies. Anyone in your position would be, this should not come as a great shock to them. Don't box yourself into a corner because of any sort of a perceived rush. If they want you faster, they will bend, with salary or some other goodie. Don't look like you're playing a game with them. You actually aren't. It's the God's honest truth. You really are interviewing elsewhere. And you're fully within your rights to do so.
