Well everyone I'm off to Afghanistan after 3 months in beautiful Pakistan. It has been interesting to say the least. I have to say sleeping with 13 guys in one tent is really over rated. I hope I don't have to do it again. In all it wasn't so bad but we were really busy and didn't have any time for relaxiation. As a unit we flew over 2500 hours and delivered well over 20,000,000 yes that is million of supplies in the last 3 months. I didn't think it was possible but we did it.
I hope we never have to do something like this again but I think it will happen again. After having eaten rice at least twice a day, french fries at least once a day, something that looked like beef and something that I was able to identify as part of a chicken for the last few months I am looking forward to going to Afghanistan.

A friend of mine recently got back after a year in Afghanistan and she brought back a stray golden labrador she found. We have no idea how it got there. I think you will find it is a very different kind of place.
