On September 9th, 2001, two hijacked planes slammed into the Twin Towers in New York City. Official death toll: 2,752 (may have been changed since)
On July 7, 2005, bombs on three crowed London subways were detonated, killing 50 people and injuring 700 more.
June 5, 2005: Insurgents in Iraq are claiming about 20 lives a day. The civilian death toll from insurgency violance is now topping 12,000. More than 10,000 of those deaths are estimated to be Shiite Muslims. 1,600+ are US soliders. Insrugancy bombings have already killed thousands of Iraqi security force members.

Now you can argue and say we shouldn't be there in Iraq. That our US presence has caused those deaths and if we left this would stop (not likely). But the US isn't holding guns in the hands of these freaks, nor are they telling them to strap bombs to themselves or plant a bomb in a car. These people are nuts without our help. So aside from disagreeing with US politics, what do you say to these numbers, (which are a minute sample, IMO) that have occured in the last few years? Do we need to go back hundreds of years?
