Hurricane Investigators See 'Fog of War' at White House
The White House proved to be inept in a critical situation. Would it be any different in the event of a terrorist attack? I wonder?
Yeah...
Quote:Trent Duffy, the deputy White House press secretary, who also attended the briefing, acknowledged that all levels of the government had suffered from a lack of clarity about the events as they developed.
"There was a lack of situational awareness at all levels," Mr. Duffy said in an interview on Friday. "That is one of the biggest lessons everyone in emergency preparedness has learned because of the storm."
I thought that lesson was supposed to have been learned after 9/11...?

Often is the question asked: is our government officials learning?
Increasingly the more pertinent question is: Are they teachable?
Teachable Nah. Bush is waiting for his next message from God.
What can be said of one who doesn't read newspapers and show an alarming lack of curiosity?
