My Stepdaughter is looking into getting into this "FREE" assistance program.
I have lots of information on it but was wondering if anyone knows someone who has completed the program.
There is a Job Corps facility about 30 40 miles up the road from Raleigh. I used to do event work for them once a year. It's a real government funded organization but the place reminds me of a paramilitary reform school.
I was enrolled in it when I was 20.
I never completed it because that was MY choice.
At 20, the last thing i wanted to do was pay attention to anything.
I do remember they had ALOT to offer.
Everything from GED to on the job training.
There were several kids there with me that had completed quite a few of the programs they had and walked out of there with quite a few trade skills.
A couple of my adult friends ( now ) completed the program when they were young and it seems to have given them a good start on things.
what is it about the program you are concerned about?
