Hi all, all clicked...

Thats a nice pic, ehBeth.

Here's a photo of a Christmas present I made for Patti a few years ago. I first went to the hardware store and picked out a slate floor tile that had character. Then poured silicone over it to make a mold. After pouring a plaster tile - I carved the image into the plaster and remolded that. Then I poured a special mix of plaster, concrete and some other stuff to make it more durable. After that I put a quick finish on it. The figure is the Chinese character for Health (I think, I made another that represents good fortune) Anyway, I like to make stuff special for her presents.

Belated Happy New Year to all wildcickers.

Danon- beautiful.

Still freezing here, and maybe we will get some snow on the weekend. My friend from Australia is here since 3 days- she is waiting impatiently for the white stuff.

Thanks so much for all the clicking you've done for me, danon. Thanks also to anybody else who has been clicking for me. Starting tomorrow, I'll go back to the Care2 account and see if they will still let me in.

I'm now out of the wheelchair, walker, and cane stages of recovery; I skipped using crutches. My left ankle now contains a steel plate and eight screws. I expect to set off bells, whistles, and alarms next time I try to get past security at an airport.

My podiatrist at Kaiser/Stockton isn't finished cutting into me. I'm waiting for a date for outpatient surgery so that the syndesmotic screw, which I think was put in to serve as a kind of axle, can be removed. Because of the way it functions, there is a risk that it may break.

My housemate and I continue to go walking, though not as far as we used to walk last year. He is a very attractive male, blond and buff. And neutered. Shandy has a literary forebear for a namesake, though Tristram Shandy was suffixed "Gentleman", and my Shandy is a rascal, not a gentleman.

I'm glad to be back on computer, especially Web searches, daily readings of the Rainforest thread (on which I am an infrequent poster), and to-and-fro email from several Internet buddies.

It's still January - is it too late to be counted in the Audubon New Year count? Perhaps as a Rara Ava malpedsinistra.

Thanks for the warm & cheery greetings, Ul and ehBeth. It's a gray day here, too, this Tuesday with an onset of mid-afternoon rain. I don't mind the rain a bit; it helps to offset the long dry months we have every year in season.
