When a home can't be sold to pay for care.(UK/GB)

I am in my father's house with his permission.

The house can't be sold for his care because I am severly disabled and on benefits because social services are barred in such cases from selling the house for care costs!

My brother,who think Social security should be abolished, must be thinking`I am going to get money when the house is sold because my brother is on social security' ,which system he doesn't support!
