Thinking about a new couch...Would this match in a room decorated in Black and burgundy?
Sure, especially with stuff to tie it in.
I might go for more of a warm tone -- that's more towards a cool gray -- but the burgundy is already pretty warm.
The problem is, this is a "new fabric" and this is the only color they make it in. I am a little hesitant about it matching, but god is it comfortable.
I think it could totally work.
Good. Because we like it.
It is HUGE though.
if your couch comes in THAT color,
get a rug that has that same color in it, with some black trim
put it in the middle of the room like the one in the picture is and that will help bring the eye straight down from the walls to the floor and see a continuing color pattern.

No, of course not. Try to find something in periwinkle or puce.
It would help if you buy pillows and/or throws that have both taupe and burgundy in it, to bring the two together.
Personally, I'm not sure burgundy and taupe left to themselves (like a burgundy wall and taupe sofa) would like to be next to each other....But getting smaller pieces that tie them together will work miracles.
placement of colors is really important.
See the pillow they have on it? Not sure what color the circles are, but find a fabric like that (modern) with the couch color, burgandy and black, and you've got a winner. It's all about the accessories, including drapes, pictures and rugs.
Rugs to go with that style sofa would be more like this

Is that the poster child for the Bimbo Club of America?
yeah squinny, right on target....
how about these pictures. Don't want one color to dominant a large expanse.
Cool! Thanks guy! I might have to invest in a rug now.
Question Bella
Do you happen to like African stuff?
For some reason I can see mahogany figurines or some type of art like that on the wall. That seems like it would go with the burgundy and black, making it look really rich in tone. The taupe will then be a bright area of interest.
I think it's amazing how you can end up decorating an entire room around just one little piece that you love.
I think when you do that, it makes the whole room come alive because it acknowledges the importance of something dear to you.
Do you have anything like that?
The picture I was decorating around is a Salvador Dali "One Second Before Awakening from a Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bee Around a Pomegranate" (I love that title!!!!!)
Pic and the only other pictures I could find to go with it was more Salvador. I also have "The Persistence of Memory".

Is that the one with the tiger? or is it a liger?
I put in a link.
But yes, the tiger and the bee and the nekkid lady.
