It's TRUE! But then again it's my opinion and you're free not to believe in it.

Please don't hide behind 'it's just my opinion'. And, look, I'm not trying to give you a hard time - but no, it's not true, and it has nothing to do with my opinion.

You said: "loving parents ... guarantees that life will be happy."

No, it doesn't - nothing does.

You also said, "Most of the people happy in this world today are mainly because they had nice, loving parents or guardians."

How exactly would you verify this claim, given its supposed 'truth'?

Good parents might not guarantee happiness... but bad parents certainly decrease one's chances.

Because loving parents subconsciously teach you how to give and receive love in the world, which is the basic foundation for a happy life. Their love also teaches you to pride yourself but not be overly proud and so your chance of living a very successful life increases.

i'd opt for a kind heart over beauty or intelligence. what you put in is what you get back, that's how friendships for life are made.

I'm with you---love is the best prevention against future loneliness.

I'm with Dag too - a kind heart is what is most important...but I think of that as a necessary trait - not really as a gift we are born with

I'd choose musical talent over beauty, any day. I truly envy people who can hold an audience in thrall with their voice.

That's actually something else I would consider a 'good investment'--because
I truly believe music has immense influence on the human spirit--and power to heal. I've witnessed it.

A sense of humor has that same quality, too, IMHO.

So, if you are given a choice of choosing music talent with ordinary looks or being beautiful, you would choose music talent? I don't believe you.

with great wealth I can go under the knife and be beautiful, I can be kind hearted because I do not have to compete in a dog eat dog world and therefore can reach out to others, I can broaden my intellect and wisdom because I can afford to study and travel, and most of all, I can get laid a lot.

Show me the money.

I guess looks are not everything but I think being good looking certainly doesn't hurt in whatever you do in life. I read a piece a while ago about how babies respond more positively to "good looking" faces (more symmetrical features) like Danzel Washington's. So to them, it's literally pleasing to the eye?

so when I make my next million I should tell my surgeon to make me look like Denzel?

Hahaha...that's one strategy. I wonder how our faces would look like if you just took either left or right side and literally duplicated it to make it, uh, symmetrical??! Might be even weirder than the way they are now. Any plastic surgeons wanna pitch in? I know started as a philosophical discussion but still...
