I laughed even harder when I read this. I erased the part where I was off to look up bordeaux because I recalled actually loving some over the years, but didn't ever remember thinking "oh that's good" when it came to merlot. Snork. Ah me. Yep.

@Joeblow,
I'm not against merlot. It's just a little simpy sometimes. I believe that the French blend their wines more than we do here, so the Bordeauxs you've had were probably not 100% merlot.

wearing: At 3:55 in the afternoon, I just changed out of my pj's which I'd been lollygagging in all day, in favour of some black sweats and a three quarter sleeved white tee.
hearing: tv background
smelling: nothing really
eating: not now
drinking: to add to the pj image, I just cracked a beer
doing: starting dinner prep
looking forward to: the holidays with mrjoe
feeling: a little guilty, but I'll get over it.

hearing: The Grinch That Stole Christmas and my son trying to make me get off the computer so he can play.

doing: figuring out what I need to do first.
looking forward to: dunno
feeling: sleepy - I woke up at 3:30AM this morning - for no good reason.

hearing: Robin Brown on the CBC raaaaaaaaadio - love Robin, she's awesome
smelling: something vaguely unpleasant. Did a dog fart? Did a cabbage die somewhere?
eating: leftover toasted cheese bagel from lunch with some cinnamon honey
drinking: no
doing: getting ready to feed the dogs and get out to dance class
looking forward to: a few days off over Christmas
feeling: quite happy to have the wonderful friends I have, including some Joe in pjs with a cracked beer bottle

eating: just finished some dry roasted peanuts
drinking: hah - some dreck merlot on lots of ice
doing: figuring out what I need to do first.
looking forward to: the continuation of christmas/holiday cards and letters that I've been getting. Always a pleasure.
feeling: I alternate back and forth with money fears, interest in a book I'm reading, enthusiasm for already having dinner at hand (veg ricotta torte), a bit of urgency to start picking my a2k football choices for the week, and pleasure that I got the laundry done.

Boiled Dumplings & Seasoned Ground Meats (Aushak Goushti), Lamb Chop Kebab, and some Firni (a custard) for dessert.
drinking: standard issue tap water.
doing: Whittling the last hours of 2010 away.
looking forward to: Going to see an anime movie at the cinema Sunday that I wasn't aware existed until this afternoon.

To the extent we neighbors know each other, there is a lot of trust. I'm the iffy one, re letting bad weeds grow. This is, of, course, not my way, just something that happens by my living now, as I used to be all over yard design. Interesting experience.

I did that chore too! The grass needed to have the leaves cleaned off as well as our gutter area that accumulates the leaves. Even cut the grass.
