soz-- educate me a bit-- what can you put that corresponds to where we put "hearing"?
I don't want you to just delete one--add something in it's place that tells us a bit more about what you're experiencing in your snapshot moment.
Anyway-- if you think of something--great. Or, if this is a dumb idea--just overlook it.

I can do the "aural hallucination" thing -- my brain is never really quiet, it just doesn't have that much relation to what is going on (hey, get that straitjacket away from me!) The exception is if I'm looking at something specifically to decode it -- that doesn't usually happen when I'm at the computer. (Except for those accursed Jeeves ads where he's snapping -- that makes a loud aural hallucination and I have to drape something over the computer to shut it up if I need to be on that page for a while for some reason, especially when composing a response.)
At the time I remember that I had a song I'd made up going through my head... Some 14 years ago, E.G. and I purchased a new futon together and that was a really big deal. We've held on to it all this time -- we planned to throw it out after we arrived but sozlet liked how wide it was (full) and how low to the ground and claimed it. She just recently decided it was too lumpy for her and then finally agreed to use her twin bed full-time. So we finally put out the disgusting lumpy barfed-upon futon today, and when it was picked up I wrote the following to E.G.:
ding dong the futon's gone
(which futon? the gross futon!)
ding dong the gross futon is gone!
