@ehBeth,
Oh no Beth. I am so sorry for you and Set and boydog. Big hugs to you and Set and gentle scritches to both doggies. Thoughts are with you all.

Thank you friends.

I've just spent the better part of an hour helping the girldog have a big drink of water and rubbing her back while she settled into another nap. The boydog is being gentle around her.

@mismi,
wearing:black dress slacks, black 3/4 sleeve top with big flat beads, long Auntie Mame black knit vest, black socks, black clogs hmmm
hearing: a radio program about historical revisionism
eating: had soup
drinking: need tea or water or something
doing: taking turns with Set keeping the old girldog comfy. I finally tempted her with a tiny snack tonight and helped her up and down the stairs. She hadn't eaten since Sunday. She's fading but still such a lovey little girl with as much spirit as an old girldog can have as she shrinks and naps naps naps.
looking forward to: I dunno right now.
feeling ready for the temps to stabilize - and very appreciative of our friends here and in my dance world
wanting: peace of mind all round. for everyone.

@ehBeth,
wearing: blue jeans, my Venice tee shirt that I fixed with paint, a khaki overshirt, black faux crocs, necklace I bought in the seventies with many beads. I wore all that to Walmart. No one noticed.
hearing: an oldie cd, gallery sound, Renee Fleming
eating: over that
drinking: first alcohol in weeks, delicious for now.
doing: rearranging many things
looking forward to: hard to explain
wanting: also hard to explain.

@mismi,
wearing:black dress pants, raspberry tunic with sequinned front panel, big orange polar fleece
hearing: something on the radio about our new premier who is also acting as the agriculture minister
eating: had some wings earlier
drinking: need tea
doing: keeping the boydog company while Set is with the girl
looking forward to: I dunno - sunshine?
feeling still sad about the girldog's fading but thinking of the joy she has brought to Set, hamburgboy, me and her beloved Oma - they were great snuggle-friends
wanting: the girldog to be able to just ease away in her sleep without pain

@ehBeth,
So sorry to hear this news. Please remind me. Is the girl dog Bailey or Cleo?

@Swimpy,
Hi Swimpy. Cleo is the girldog.

She was able to fall into her forever sleep yesterday afternoon.

I want to find some photos from the Great Lakes/Madison road trip. Happy days with dogs and friends.

@ehBeth,
I remember that photo (I think). Pacco would grin that way, but I never got in on film.

Katy is, y'know, more tempered with her smiles, but she does smile.

@ehBeth,
Oh my, checking in to A2K for the first time in a while, sorry to see such sad news. Cleo has been around forever, it seems. And I know forever is well beyond the usual dog lifespan.

She had a lovely long life with her lovely family. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Hugs to Set and Beth...

wearing: An old red long sleeve shirt, had to put it on in 80 degree weather, because for the first time since about 1983, I got a sunburn, even my hands are burnt...nothing major though. Cargo shorts, and sandals....some random bracelets and my Thor's hammer necklace....trust me, it is nothing less than awesome.
hearing: Silence of the Lambs....what does he do, this man you seek....
eating: Had Sonic...big-O-ass double cheeseburger....was pretty good, they forgot my fries, but honestly I really don't need them.
drinking: Coke, Sonic ice {ours anyway} is very tiny, seems to hold the flavor of the soda very well.
doing: Thinking, planning, a bit of engineering...been building, cutting, mulching...etc.
looking forward to: Tomorrow, for I shall look halfway Mexican again, I tan very quickly.
feeling: Very happy....more content than usual, hard work {at least what passes for it anymore} is the best feeling ever....well that and riding a horse.
wanting: More mulch, ran out....and water pipes, and conduit...etc....
