Finegold is one of my Senators. He is far too liberal for my tastes although I must credit him for his adherence to principle. In Feb. 1997, he, one of the few Democrats, called for an independent counsel on the Clinton-Gore fundraising operations. In January 1999, he was the ONLY DEMOCRAT to vote against Robert Byrd's motion to dismiss the charges against Clinton.
