CBC As It Happens always plays this on the first night of Hannukah that they're on the air (did that sentence make sense?) .

I didnt have any latkes yet. I hope I will be feted with a solemn latke din din bwfore the whole schmigegey is all.

You know someone loves you if they hand grate potatoes and onions for yer latkes - and they have to be hand grated!

How else can you make latkes? What am I missing? Hand-grated or no latke. I gotta get sour cream. Then I'll make some. I have my Grandma's grater. I can't go wrong.
