First - Scrooge (A Christmas Carol), starring Alistair Sim
Second - Miracle on 34th Street
Yes! Yes! Oh God, Yes Virginia !
"A Christmas story" is my family's favorite.
"You'll put your eye out kid."
When I was widdle: The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, and A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Then, that clay-mation Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (with his sidekick, the Dentist Wannabe).
Now, it's a toss up between National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and The Ref.
Tom and Jerry's
The Night Before Christmas has long been my favorite. I watch it quite a bit during the course of the year, but at Christmas I will watch it at least twice a day. The antics of that mouse and cat leave me in stitches, and particularly that scene where the cat terrifies the mouse with that Santa mask...
Classic friggin' stuff.
I have two and neither are 'Christmas' movies, per se.
"Pocketful of Miracles" with Bette Davis and Glenn Ford and "The Apartment" with Jack Lemmon and Shirley Maclaine.
eoe
I just bough and watched The Apartment a couple of months ago. The hit record of the theme music has long been some of my favorite music.
What did you think of the film?
A Christmas Story, of course!
Although Die Hard is also a sweet Christmas movie that always gets me in a jolly holiday mood.

I'm a traditionalist, EB has nailed it with this pick . . .
Attack of the Killer Tomatos
Santa Claus Is Coming.... one of Ginger Lynn's holiday flicks.... a classic.
A Christmas Story, absolutely, and Rich Little's a Christmas Carol.
Would be hard to pick just one, but "Charlie Brown's Christmas" and "National Lampoon's Christmas" would probably top my list in the animated/live categories. One cartoon I vividly remember that never seems to get shown anymore is "Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol", which was one of my childhood favs.
Allan, you don't happen to remember the song that little Ebenezer sang in MaGoo's Christmas Carol, do you. Something about, "I'm All Alone in the World". Been trying to find that for ages.
