I've just discovered this thread - that's lovely work Questionner

I loved the middle one about the walk especially

I really like Boomerang's work as she knows, I think she's got a wonderful way of capturing natural expressions and character and the words she finds are good, not over sentimental but powerful. I liked the words you used as well Q

so .... I decided to post a couple that used words as well Very Happy

combining text with splashy scanned watercolour doodles and playing with multiple layers and layer effects and all sorts of things I've forgotten!

and landscapes:

This is a mix of a photograph and painting, again playing with layers and allsorts. It is based on some allotments (rented pieces of land for growing vegetables) that were becoming deserted and you just knew they soon be built over Crying or Very sad - I did a series of images and the series was called The Dying of the Day (from Dylan Thomas poem).

I did a quick sketch the other day for a painting that I am about to begin. I was playing around with colors etc, and thought I might go ahead and post a before and after pic here. The final painting won't look much like what I have here, but it was an interesting excercise anyway.

Vivien's winter/ spring stuff is amazing, and that's quite a sketch too, Questioner.
