US man guilty of Bush death plot
A US citizen has been convicted of being a member of al-Qaeda and plotting to kill President George W Bush.
Ahmed Abu Ali, 24, faces a possible life sentence after a federal jury found him guilty on nine counts, including conspiracy to hijack a plane.
Abu Ali, an Arab-American student, grew up in Virginia. He was held in Saudi Arabia in 2003 and reportedly confessed membership of al-Qaeda.
His defence team told the court he was tortured and forced to confess.

Of couse you would say that.
Has anyone met a convicted criminal who did not say the same thing? "I didn't do it"
woiyo,
I could get anyone to say anything I want if I torture them. Shoot, I'm sure we could get you swearing up and down that you're Queen Elizabeth after a day of torture. And trust me, you'd say it like you meant it.
I'd like to find out more about this before I come to any conclusions either way though.
They should have argued the "public service" defense.
