If life after death is proven real would you commit suicide?

Assuming that your life isn't all that bad anyway, an after life is guaranteed to be paradise and you are guaranteed to go there....

would you commit suicide?

My personal opinion is, no because there is no rush, it will still be there when I'm ready to go.

Explain your vote please

No.

Even though I already believe there is a better afterlife, I would hang around to assist my kids and husband through this life as long as I can.

The things of this earth are unique, and IMO won't be duplicated in the afterlife---like being a Grandma. It should be about five or six years in my future, and I was made to be a Grandma. I want to help my children while they start their own little families. I want to steal their children....

As you say, the afterlife will be there...

My view too Sofia, I have a life to live before I'm ready to move on

Would you kill other people whom you love, but who are living a miserable existence?

Hmm....would my debts be cleared when I reincarnated? That might influence my decision. I definitely would not kill anyone else....that has to be their own choice.

I also voted no. I like where I am now. What I want God to say to me, when I die (assuming any of that is real) is: what took you so long?

Not a chance!
I'm a total sceptic, so I wouldn't trust the "proof" anyway, and beside that, I'm far too curious to find out what's going to happen here.
From the descriptions I've heard of "there", it sounds pretty damn boring!

Euthanasia is an entirely different topic separate to this one, I certainly might consider doing it regardless of the existence of life after death...

Just to make things more interesting I'm leaving out the finer detail sure as reincarnation and the existence of God.

You can easily argue, in the context of this question, that if God does exist its God choice when you die, so lets leave God out of it and pretend that when you die you just move on to a better place. Does that change anyones answer? I doubt itÂ…..

Even if there is a heaven/nivarna/life after death, God will have to drag me there kicking and screaming!!!!

There are many, many people who believe in life after death. I've never heard of anyone committing suicide in order to get to that place. Maybe some have and we just don't know it, but I believe that scenario would be an extreme rarity.

P.S. - Dek, just for your info, I'm not normal.

chat...; I think you may have missed a few of the obvious;

Numerous cult groups have commited mass suicides ("passing on"),
and does the term "suicide bomber" ring a few alarm bells?

["normal", what's that?]

In my previous post, I was thinking of normal people.

Ok, so ya got me. Too much partying last night (is that a good excuse?)

In my book there is no such thing as a "bad" excuse!
It's just that some of them have exceeded the "invention" parameters.

Maybe they have the smallest amount of doubt as well....? or maybe they would just all vote NO!
