Correctomundo!

My certification is lapsed.

This goes down in the annals of questionable parenting...
My daughter and her friends were having a pool party. My daughter knew how to swim, but her best friend didn't. The parents retired from the sun to the porch, which was in view of the pool, but not close.

I couldn't believe Friend's mother was comfortable being so far from her non-swimmer, and was probably visibly nervous when Mother told Non-swimmer she could go in the deep end, but had to hold on to the 'stairs' that go down in the pool.

I kept my eye on non-swimmer from the porch and when her head went under I stood up. Another parent was watching and made a run for the pool. My daughter (YAY) swam under her and pushed her up and to the stair.

Non-swimmer's mom, turned, surveyed and turned back to the conversation! Shocked

Way back in this thread you guessed that I didn't eat lasagna and that was also wrong. The correct answer is that I didn't do the laundry.

Chris Eubank punched you and didn't knock you out? There's a slight chance he might have punched you when he was a little kid. But I'll take the chance. I say #4 is the lie.

A pro-boxer turned actor, sort of a Mickey Rourke in the making.

I was interviewed, on air of course, by Larry King

At a charity golf event, I won the "closest to the pin" event. The prize was a round of golf with Arnold Palmer, Alex Trebeck, and the tournement director as my playing partners.

My two cats and I were the subject of a New York Times feature piece that included a large picture of the three of us.

I had a full page MY TURN essay published in NEWSWEEK Magazine.

I tend to believe 3 and 4, Frank. # 2 seems more possible than #1. So my guess is that you have not been interviewed on air by Larry King.

Dang, Frank.
Trebek?

I'm with macsm and fbaezer. Larry King is no fluke, unless your trailer was thrown by a hurricane.....(kidding)

And the correct answer is...#2.

I haven't gotten close to the pin in ages. And if I ever played golf with Arnie and Alex Trebek, I'd brag about it so much, even people in Asia would know about it.

I was the head instructor at a bartending school in Manhattan back in the late 70's early 80's. I think the year was 1979 -- I was interviewed on King's radio program. It was a gas. He originally was going to have us (my boss and I) for a single segment -- but held us over because we generated lots of call ins.

GET OUT, Frank!
That is so neat.

You are too unfairly interesting to play! A demerit for you!

(Don't know why the trailer/hurricane interview popped to mind first. I never took you for trailer material. Not that there's anything wrong with trailer residents....)

Y'know, Sofia, I was thinkin' - you could play a similar game in Trivia & Word Games, where instead of it being personal trivia (don't get me wrong; I think it's fascinating and I'm learning a lot about all of you :-D) have it be general trivia. E. g.

1. Earthworms are hermaphrodites.
2. Doctors can now grow new eye tissue with stem cells, thereby restoring sight in many injured people.
3. Mustard is yellow because it contains daisy centers.
4. El Nino has a counterpart, La Nina.

I have to run and I won't be back for a few days. Enjoy! :-D
