Well you've got me there, CJane!
Isn't that funny?
Now you've got me off on a "modern" tangent. What makes something feel modern?
I'm so easily distracted tonight - which is one of the reasons I'm asking for help making decisions.
Thank you all!
Soz, I think the Nicoletti stuff is both the same size. It was hard to tell by the photos. Both sofas have two cushions but one could be longer than the other. (Did I mention my dissatisfaction with the quality of photography on craigslist? Honestly, it is terrible!)
Neat links CJane! Thanks.
I think I have a pretty good eye for composition but I tend to be lazy when it comes to house stuff. My stuff is very eclectic and I can usually make it all work together when I can resist the urge to turn it into props.
Speaking of which.... one of those black chairs would make a pretty cool photo prop.....
Roche-bobois, I used to meander around the one on Beverly...
For a household of three people, go for the three-seat black combo.
This will save a lot of "Move, please, Mo," wrangling.
I'm waiting to hear from Mr. B.
Black stuff lady had someone coming to look last night so it might be gone already.
Tan stuff lady is insane.
Black chair only guy reposted his stuff today so I can only assume that something in my email address frightened him and he doesn't want to sell it to us.
Or it could be the spam folder thing -- I've seen a few more references to it. (That email queries via craigslist are routed to spam folders and never seen.)
Oh yeah......
That could be the problem. I'm glad most people use their phone numbers!
Ooooooookay.
Brown sofa lunatic..... <sheesh>.... I don't think I'll buy anything from her.
Black sofa lady says someone is supposed to show up tonight with money to take away the furniture but she doesn't think they'll really show up so Mr. B can come look at it tomorrow. He was supposed to get to go look at it today but by the time she picked up her messages this other lady had already called and.......
I'm just looking forward to having something to sit on and keep having the chair yanked out from under me.
This is why people shop retail.
... and end up with something mediocre.
I hate budgets!
We try to live on a cash and carry basis and we are really trying to save money to pay for our attorney and court and inspections relating to Mo's adoption.
Luckily I've already done most of my holiday shopping and our credit is impeccable so we should be able to sail through.
I'm just tired of sitting on the floor but I would feel so awful and selfish to pay retail.
<sigh>
On the other hand, if there are home visits, some furniture may convince the odd ordinary person...
Good point!
Yes, we're normal!
Rats!
We missed it.
Back to the drawing board.
