Got my 'official hotel voucher' yesterday as well (although the reservation was already confirmed in November):
"One single [sic!] King Deluxe Room (with spectacular views of Lake Michigan and Grant Park)"

Awesome news, Eva and Walter! I'll likely drive to Chicago, but cab thereafter. The consensus seems to be that cars are a waste of time and money in this city.

Now set in stone: At the very least, O'bill, Walter, Brooklyn, C.I., RJB, Thomas, Hephzibah, Mac11, Eva and Joe will be at Duke of Perth at 6:30 on Friday, May 5th! We'll be enjoying a Fish Fry and drinks. All are welcome. Did I miss anyone?

Brooklyn, you weren't supposed to tell everyone about the naked dancing... :wink:

No, that's my anniversary and Mr B probably wouldn't appreciate getting ditched. I'm meeting a group Saturday morning at the Art Institute and then I'll come back out and meet up with anyone who wants to do something for lunch.

I SURE hope somebody brings nametags so we can put our real names along with our A2K names on them. I'll never keep it all straight otherwise! Not in a group this large...what is it, 14 or 15 of us now?

O'Bill, one word about driving to Chicago -- an unpleasant surprise for us was that we had to pay a LOT (I forget, maybe $40?) a day just to keep the car at the hotel's parking lot. Not getting it or anything, just leaving it there. So maybe something to check just so you know what to expect.
