But before that (which is now nearly exactly 23 years ago). before that ... well, I led the Premier League of drinkers, so to say.

(By the way, I noticed that Jes did go ahead and add the link to the "Just the Facts" thread in her first post, FYI. Thanks, Jes!)

If you simply do not wish either myself or spends to attend the forthcoming Chicago convention, then please cast your say so accordingly.
I'm neither entitled to such an opinion nor do I have one. I'll shake your hand in Chicago as easily as any. It is the sniping out at the people who are serious about going that's annoying.

Mathos wrote:
The fact that I am attempting to coax the oaf to attend with myself should surely be met with nods of approval at least.
Yes, it's good that you occasionally stray on topic. As was suggested, the balance of your debate could (should?) easily have been handled privately to save the rest of us the trouble of checking updates only to read more off-topic nonsense.

Mathos wrote:
It is most discouraging to be the object of snidey, underhanded and malicious gossip. One might have been totally incorrect in assuming our American colonists had better manners.
The sheer volume of your submissions leads me to believe you know very well that in general; Americans lack the good manners of Europeans. This, however, has not been evident on the last several pages of this thread. One might check his own color before accusing the kettle of being black.

ps. I will not assist you in derailing this thread any further than I already have.

I was thinking this might be fun, but visiting a hostile crowd in the communist state of Illinois, where it is illegal to defend yourself, doesn't hold much appeal.

When you've got the pig Daley on spit, let me know. I'll bring sauce.

Joe-Mathos is not a typical European. He has seen too many Rambo/Eastwood movies for that.I think he is impressed by faked machismo.

Joe didn't say that. O'Bill did, and for once I agree with him. We should have some equivalent of Godwin's Law on A2K: as a thread grows longer, the chances increase that it will turn into another episode in that dreary, long-running British farce, the "Spendius and Mathos Show." It is about that time that I tune out.

And so I shall.

Have it your way, Spendius. We shall miss you. Of course, you realize you will leave us no other choice but to talk about you behind your back. At least if you come, we'd have to face you. I think you'd rather enjoy that.

And, for your information...

I most certainly do NOT waddle. Evil or Very Mad

With or without pizza.

Funny, this thread is as good as "Disagreeing, just to get a rise out of someone" thread.
Without the pretense.

Pre-tension, I'd call it. Smile

Anyway, hello everybody.
I'm sorry you've upset Joe, but you do go on a bit. I use my scroll button, Joe, don't let babbling Brits upset you.
