Thomas,
I will probably be there. (My mother's birthday that weekend would be the only snag.)
I should be in the "definitely will be there, unless I get hit by a meteor" category.
Interesting...May 6th, you say? Hmmm...
kicky, You must come. I'll even spring for a drink or two.
I have been correctly categorized in the "Would like to be there but don't know yet" class.

I'd love to meet you in person, CI. I'll definitely think about it.
Since I'm within driving distance, I'm a likely attendee. I can't wait to meet Osso and Walter and Jespah and Region and Thomas and c.i. and Joe and jpin and...
Is there going to be a thread where the final arrangements will be posted? I would love to come, but I really could not make a committment until probably a few weeks before the event. I would hate to think that I would have to wade through this entire thread to determine what is going on.
There sure will be, Phoenix. The SF threads got real long, too long, but we figured a lot of alternatives out for three, even four days, as everybody didn't show up and leave at the same times. That kind of nitsy stuff bores people silly and takes a lot of pages and some effort to keep track of, and even though we did it there was still a bunch of Well, let's do this then - for other than the main dinner (did we have a main dinner? - I think there were four, a dinner hearty group we were) - and we broke up into groups and individuals on shopathons or other thons. The only person we really lost was JJorge - whom we roared off in several group taxis and left - and several of us owe him at least dinner...
We should have some kind of Seem for Sure list and some kind of pm'd or emailed contact info as it gets closer.
I'll die and go to heaven if I can only meet Kicky..
Oh, I forgot, I don't believe in that stuff..
Which brings up another subject that might worry someone - I don't think General Agreement on Issues is even possible, much less wished for.
And not to scare people - that was four possible dinners. This isn't EST...
How about a "Would like to be there but probably can't," category?
Put me in that one, Thomas.
Does anybody have springs for shoes just in case kicky shows up?

Oh sure. Swimpy is willing to drive all the way to Chicago yet she isn't willing to take a casual stroll down the hill to my place.
If you'd just fix them broken boards in that old bridge what crosses the polluted stream by your hen-house, Gus, she might change her mind.
Wow. There have been so many changes yesterday that I'll post the first update right now.

You don't know what a temptation that is, Kicky -- you rarely meet a nicer host than CI.
Put me down as someone who would be more than interested, but fears that the State Dept may 'lose' my request for a visa in the old 'circular file'. If I can make it to the Canadian border, can anyone give me directions????
But, Gustav can like 'come and go' anywhere in the Continental USA as he pleases (and the goat herds lead him). Doesn't seem fair, does it?
NB: Thomas, I am not joking - it is not easy to get a visa to travel to the USA anymore, even from nations like Australia and the UK.

Um, no. My Dad turns 75 that very day. Dollars to donuts, we ain't comin'. It's not outside the realm of possibility but consider us (RP and me) a "probably not". All I did was post the topic, sorry if that caused confusion.
