CNN "sources" are reporting that President Bush will nominate 3rd Circuit Appeals Court Judge Samuel Alito to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition...let the fireworks begin!

Yes, for the last few days they were mentioning Samuel Alito and J. Michael Luttig as possibilities. There's been plenty of time to build up ammunition against them.

Unfortunately the peoples party is outgunned by the right wing ideologies of the republican party. With the capture of the three branches of government the checks and balances in government no longer exists. Bush has been crowing about the need to appoint judges that are not activist. What in reality they mean is liberall activist judges need not apply.
