If the Astros can take the next game, they will be sitting pretty for the home games. They just lost the first one, 5-3.

Tonight hopefully Pettite can relive his Cleveland fiasco from a few years back. Cost the Yankees the league championship the miserable slime.

Of course the egotistical Clemens has expressed a desire to come back and try to kill off the Astros entirely for game 5. Wonder what the old boy will do if there is no game 5.

I was a bit disturbed that a fan hit Biggio's wife in the head with a beer can.

Apparently. It was on the local TV news. I caught the end of the story.

Them White Soxes made a real big mistake last night. Beating the Astros in their first Texas World Series game ever. Now they are going to be made to pay for it tonight, where they will suffer a crushing defeat, sparking a 'Stros victory sweep in four straight. Mmm mmm mmm. Wouldn't want to be in their shoes right now.

What's the deal re the roof being open (or closed)? The fans actually prefer it closed even when the weather is decent? That's too much.

There's a retractable roof at Safeco Field, and everyone gets depressed when they have to close it because of drizzle.

Anyhow, at least now it's unlikely W will get to welcome the Astros to the White House after a World Series triumph...

Apparently the stadium is much louder with the roof closed, I don't think it would have mattered much, the crowd seemed rather subdued for most of the game.

This needs to end tonight, Edgar. We've got big family doings tomorrow night and Mr B will blow a gasket if he has to miss a potential 5th and deciding game.
