Not so. The poll numbers demonstrate that, without question, you
can fool some of the people all of the time -- it looks like in the range of 30-40% of the people, in fact. The surprising thing is that, among the people who now view Bush as a failure, are many who must have voted for him in 2004. Why are
they disappointed? After all, Bush has done nothing since November 2004 that he didn't promise during the election campaign. The people who still support Bush may be delusional, but the people who voted for Bush and who now think he's doing a bad job are just plain idiots.
