Cheney v. Bush?

OK, it's speculation on a blog (blogulation?), but coming from Will Bunch's Attytood, the Philadelphia Daily News blog, the conjecture about "the biggest story of the year" carries more weight: "Dick Cheney and George W. Bush don't like each other anymore."
What hard, inside information do we have? None. The evidence is circumstantial, but it is getting stronger by the day.
Bunch credits Nora Ephron with getting the ball rolling in September on the Huffington Post, noting the vice president's conspicuous absence during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The next clue was blogulation from Talk Left on an alleged overheard chat that Mr. Cheney had in Wyoming.
Cheney has been getting tired of being called upon to fix Bush's mistakes. Cheney said Bush is almost incapable of making any decision. He waffles and waffles. Then, once he makes a decision, he refuses to change it. Because of his born-again faith, he says "It's in the hands of G-d now" and washes his hands of it. Then Cheney is called in to repair the damage.
Continued blogulation involves another Cheney non-appearance at a big conservative do, and whether Scooter Libby (i.e. the veep's office) will take the fall for outing Valerie Plame. Mere gossip? It has leaped from non-MSM bloggers to the Philly Daily News blog and now a Washington Post blog. There's still nothing substantive, but there are signs that the MSM are paying attention..
well, gee. even the kindliest grampa gets fed up with the young'un that keeps throwing poop in the well.
Interesting, though speculating on the basis of where Cheney is at any given moment is not much of a basis for anything.
It is intriguing, though, to consider the religious angle. Cheney has never come across as being the kind of guy who wears his beliefs on his sleeve, as Bush does so relentlessly...
