Lots of ends, but no means!

One of the interesting things I have noticed lately is that many opponents to the current administration have a long list of things they'd like to see...

an improved economy
more jobs
universal healthcare
no more war
no more illegal immigrants
better healthcare in general
better environment
etc.

The thing I never see though is how those ends could actually happen. By what means do these get accomplished?

I'd like to see some answers and not rhetoric or talking points please.

Get rid of Bush, pick someone of the street and make him/her President, then we're well on our way.......

Quote:
an improved economy
- keep interest rates low in order to foster spending, which stimulates the economy

Quote:
more jobs
- Stimulate an increase in production based industry and instead of buying finished products from other state (countries) produce them here and possible export finished products as a result. Alternative, lower the cost of secondary education, put more of an emphasis on science and technology through high school in efforts to have more of a science and technology bases (more us citizens would be tech and scientist vs getting them from other states).

Quote:
universal healthcare
- Push for legislation for a national healthcare system

Quote:
no more war
- Shift from being a militant hegemon to a benevolent hegemon

Quote:
no more illegal immigrants
- build a fence or wall and create fewer checkpoints and increase the number of border patrol agents

Quote:
better healthcare in general
- give it more of a socialistic flavor than it currently has. It seems to be at the whim of capitalism only as of now.

Quote:
better environment
- Higher EPA standards, and make the consequences of violating the standards more harsh
