Friends and I are coming to NYC in a few weeks. Our hotel is located in the Wall St. area and we're trying to determine if the airport in Newark would be closer and cab fare less than if we fly into LaGuardia or Kennedy. Can anyone advise us?
Kennedy is the farthest away of the 3. Newark can be reached via Path train, I believe, but I think you might end up having to also take a subway or cab downtown. Hmm. LaGuardia into NYC, as I recall, is something like $40 or at least was last year, will prolly be more now because of gas prices. Ack, actually I'm unsure of the $40 figure.

Maybe you can find the information you need here.
Say hello to NYC from me.
This info is very helpful but I'm hoping that a NYCer will be able to give us the inside tip like, is Newark Airport closer to the Wall St. area for convenience, one, and a lesser cab fare? It seems that everything is calculated from Midtown but that's not where we're headed.
Haven't been to NYC since 1990. I am SO looking forward to this.
I paid $18 for a shuttle bus from LaGuardia to 15th and Broadway in April. The cab back was just under $30.
<the first stop on the shuttle was in the Wall Street area, as that's how they come into down from LaGuardia>
Oooooo. That sounds interesting. Thanks.
Hey eoe
I'm going to Manhatten soon too! In about 4 weeks.
Below is the info I got off the Newark Airport website.
