When Mrs edgarblythe and I were raising four sprats, she worked a day care. It was the only logical answer for a woman wanting to work, but having a big family.

I agree Edgar.
It is the ONLY solution someone with kids has , unless they can pull about 500$ out of their hind end for day care.

Funny, I was just going to bring that up!!! Wink

I think you'll find that people in churches aren't that different from people anywhere else. Some good, some bad. And sometimes...just sometimes...they actually make an organized effort to help people that need it. You'll be part of that, and I think it will be a great example for Bean.

That said, I do hope you don't bring lightning down upon the place. <LOL>

Be keerful in the church. All they want is your soul and the rest of your life.

I do too.
Thank you . Very Happy

I have my fingers crossed.
Im hoping.. HOPING that this falls into my lap.
Im going to do my best to sell myself, yet try to keep it personal and light so that she can really get a good idea of what kind of person I am.. as anyone would do on an interview of course.
But I have to 'over' sell a bit and just hope she doesnt ask about religious beliefs. Shocked

Well, you treat people even handedly...

I dunno. That could be a barrel to not leap but be polite about.

Thinking..
I might murmur that others may be better at instruction.

You don't like putting your beliefs on others. What kind of church is this again? One of those that's all for proselytizing?

I'm not sure it is legal to ask your religion, but we all know that doesn't fly far.

Well, maybe this particular day care person just wants substantial help and won't go there.

Shewolf,

I am so happy for you! I wish you all the best. Actually, I don't think anyone is supposed to bring anyone's religion into a job interview.

All you have to do is be yourself! Let that wonderful sense of humor that I have seen in your posts shine through and you are a shoe in girl!

Good luck Shewolf!

And if they ask about religion just tell them you only perform sacrifices on your own time.

I doubt you will be asked about religion, as I assume it is run as a daycare center and not a bible school. Many parents use church daycare as opposed to private care because it tends to be more economical.

Just be yourself and say positive things. You have a very good answer when they ask you why you want to work there: you are motivated by the fact that you can be with your daughter and the job will help you save money so you can buy a home. As an employer I look for people with goals that make me think they will stick around in a job. I know you have a shadow over your nursing career, but the reality is your training is a big plus in a situation like this.
