Yes, I sometimes get a big heart on when I read stories like the one about Queen Latifah's surgery.
So happy to hear the outcome of the erection.

It was rather like the cannonry from your favorite movie, The Alamo.
O Cannonballs, O Cannonballs...
Fans of
Chicago may purchase it on DVD or VHS beginning today,
August 19.
"I spent a lot of time on the color correction" of the DVD, according to
Chicago's director Rob Marshall. "When you're color-tuning for film, the projector can change the way it looks. It's not scientific; on DVD it can be."
The DVD has one song cut from the movie and performed by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Queen Latifah.

The song is "Class," cut from the theatrical version because of ? Have rushed down to Sam's Club which had the best price ($18.47) for the DVD but will have a "Chicago" party before I play it. I guess I should serve some food from Chi Town. Any suggestions?
Well, this week's "Sex and the City" was pre-occupied with "tea bags," but a polish sausage is sure bigger than a weiner. I was thinking of a Chicago version of the steak and cheese sandwich but I can't find a recipe on the internet.
Sounds like a question for the Food & Drink Forum to me. Cav and Jerry know everything there is to know about food!
Emeril had a show in Chi Town featuring their steak sandwich. I will try Food & Drink but also the Food Channel.
well, it's not too elegant, but my favourite thing about chicago, other than tea and chocolates from marshall fields? why chicago-style popcorn of course! I always loved coming out of the Art Institute - hitting a popcorn vendor - cheese corn and caramel corn in the same bag - hot! That says Chicago to me. I have friends from there who say that what they miss the most is sauerkraut and sauerbraten and sausages, but give me popcorn!
Hey, thanks, ehBeth. I will consider that seriously.
BTW, Rob Marshall has stated that the DVD version of the film has been color corrected to look great on TV. I rather think it was because I noticed several scenes in the theatrical showing that were a bit strange in chroma.
i found a site which suggests

We still haven't seen the movie "Chicago," but we were told by our tour guide that this building was used in the movie. Can anybody, Chicago fan, confirm this? c.i.
I don't recognize it from the movie. (I've seen it twice so far.) Perhaps they filmed inside the building?
It may have been used in the exterior shots of the courthouse. I won't be rewatching it for at least a few days but I'll keep an eye open. I doubt that it's a long view shot and may be close ups on the steps.
Seems like the courthouse had more steps than that...
You're right, mac, but they could have wanted to use the facade and digitally added steps or used two different buildings. Don't remember the angles and apparant camera locations of the shots. Of course, anyone playing the DVD here might let us know if they spot the building's Romanesque arches.
I recognize the building. It's walking distance from my office. I know they filmed quite a bit of Chicago in this immediate neighbourhood. Richard Gere got a lot of points, locally, for being such a decent guy.
ehBeth, That's exactly what our tour guide told us about Richard Gere. What goes around comes around. Gotta admire the guy for not growing a big head. I still enjoy watching his old movies. c.i.
