I know I have a warped sense of humor, but I nearly fell out of my chair laughing at this photo.

c.i., I love the hat. I hope you're wearing it a lot now that you're going through the radioactive treatment. Laughing (I had friends who put one of those old yellow and black "fallout shelter" signs on my front door when I went through similar stuff.)

Eva, Love your idea about the hat. I'm planning to wear it to my treatments, just so's my oncologist can see it. Made my day; thanks.

You forgot to add a Laughing to your post.

The Cubs are terrible.

Starting now to look through my photo-data, I notice that a lot of the photos were already posted last year or c.i. documented the same motifs already excellently.

So I'll just post those I either find interesting or good ...

Like, when c.i. and I made a train trip from Union station ...

The town, we arrived - Lake Forest, Lake County, Illinois - is situated in a very nice region, is home to both top-rated public schools and nationally renowned private schools ... but actually looks not very different to many other towns of similar seize

I stayed in a bed and breakfast, close to Graceland cemetery.

It was one of the nicest (private) houses I've stayed in, with a really very friendly host.

The neighbourhood was indeed very quiet and safe - and that's not only due to those with an address at Graceland

Breakfast was either ... with wandel and c.i. downtown, as a brunch with fellow A2K'ers ...

or in the winter garden

The only person I really know by name (and had read about plus found the tomb) on the cemetery was Alan Pinkerton

Walter, that neighborhood near Graceland looks so "Chicago" to me; I loved the photos. Also, the one of CI with the hot hat, there's a keeper.

So, Walter? On a scale of 1-to-10, how would you rate your recent trip to Chicago?
