Not all the photos loaded, but fortunately, the great one of Cleo, Baily, Oma and Opa did! Have fun on your vacation.
What happened to the leader board? We seem to have dropped off.
Whoops! I take it back. The photo I thought didn't load was a loooooooooooong shot of the aple orchard. Lovely.

Beautiful pictures-- nothing is better than a fresh apple. Well, two are better than one.
Have a wonderful vaccation!

Danon- Grin; thanks for the explanation.
Maybe this will amuse you. A local bakery is ready for Halloween- which is a fairly new event here. So they bake bats and pumpkin muffins and ghosts- and advertise it: HalloWien.

Going to fetch another apple.

I'm really looking forward to it, Mister Andrei.

Next Sunday, I hope to be meeting Squeedleboink and his family - and perhaps Roberta as well!

Do say 'hello' to both Squeedle and Roboita for me. I've met 'em both but have yet to meet Mrs. Squeedle. He was still single when we got together last time.

Great, Ul. But, being as how it's a "pagan" holiday I'll bet they don't put Grüss Gott on the cookies.

[Great, Ul. But, being as how it's a "pagan" holiday I'll bet they don't put Grüss Gott on the cookies.] Very Happy Very Happy

My kids in class now can pronounce the word correctly, but they told me today that I misspelled Halloween on the blackboard when we wrote the invitation for our Halloween party. It is like Tscharlie's Tscheans Schop, or Big Mäc. English for Dummies.

{sigh} Here comes HalloWien, winter and a hour less daylight in the evening. I need a warm, bright place! Methinks I am like a bear - ready to hibernate.

Crisp fall weather- 48F at luch time, light frost in the early morning. So maybe the leaves will show some bright colors now before we will live gray in gray.
I am not a winter person. Hibernating is a good idea. School under palmtrees, breaktime on the beach...

Yesterday was a cozy autumn day ~ warm temps, leafs orange and gold lighting the lanscape at suset...kittens sleeping on the porch...

Afternoon breezes today, brilliant golds ~ birch, aspens, Lily spruce, poplars...gosh the sierras sure are pretty.

Sounds like a John Denver song Stradee. I've been driving right by your homesite many times over the years and I can still smell the country. It's dry, piney with a hint of sage. In fact, I have bag fulls of those huge pinecones upstairs as I type this. We bring them out during the holidays for decoration.

Ahhh, memories......... At my age I've gathered a lot of them.

I've been enjoying pulling out the polar fleece, hats, mittens etc

I much prefer cuddling to sweating <keep away from me, you sweaty thing>
