Motorists stranded in droves trying to flee Houston. The idiot didn't even have contraflow lanes open until late yesterday and he has the luxury of hindsight.
24 elderly patients just died on a school bus fleeing Houston. I hate to mention this in the face of this tragedy but some suggested that Nagin should have allowed untrained, unlicensed drivers to commandeer the 300 or so school buses to get people out of NO. That kind of nonsensical thinking looks even more foolish now.
Of course, the fact that this tragedy had nothing to do with the experience or inexperience of the driver is of no concern to you as long as you can use this to make some point, right?
Oh, here is what one news article says, just to back up my assertion that it had nothing to do with the driver's abilities.
From the AP article
"Early indications were that it caught fire because of mechanical problems, then passengers' oxygen tanks started exploding, Peritz said. He said the brakes may have been on fire."

Where did I question the ability of the driver in the Texas incident? How about responding to what I say rather than your distorted assumptions of what I say. You do this nearly every time you respond and it is really irritating.

Then what the hell was your point?
Traffic flowing well today in Houston. See traffic web site.

There was no reason to immediately reverse the lanes.

Do not address me in that manner if you expect an answer. Trying be a gentelman for a change.
Ok Chrissee, then I will ask the question.
What was your point?

I thought you were trying to be a lady.
Still no traffic in Houston.
However, looks like Rita is weakening somewhat and is now boarder line Catagory 4.
Better safe than sorry I suppose.

I don't have to try to be a lady, I am one and treated as such. You have a long way to go to be a gentleman. I bet you cringe when you find a female judge on your docket. That is, in the rare case, when you actually go to court.

It is ONLY a Category 3. Only a Category 3! Wow, the ignorance is suffocating.

I find that hard to believe.
