I can't believe the way this thread took off, I thought it was going to flop.
I find that as a butter-drawer-on-toaster-er, the last of the stick is mangled and crumby. So, I set it into a little tupperware and use it the next time I make a roux or risotto.
This is my all-time favorite thread.
I put enough butter so the (warm) toast goes soggy, my fav.
