What should someone check before trusting a generated audio file?
I am thinking about browser tools where the workflow is: upload one local audio file, wait for processing, preview the generated result, and save it only if it sounds useful.
The result can be misleading if the person only listens to the easiest part of the file. With separated audio, quiet intros may sound acceptable while dense sections still have bleed, artifacts, or missing low end.
My current checklist would be:
- compare the result with the original file
- check the loudest and densest section, not only the intro
- listen for bleed, phasey artifacts, or missing frequencies
- confirm the output format is what the page says it is
- keep temporary generated files separate from originals
- avoid processing or sharing media unless you have the rights to do so
Is there anything else a non-audio-engineer should check before deciding a generated file is worth keeping?
