Awww.... Deb stole my answer....
Lol. Nemmind. Doubtless some of the "christians" bigoted against gays will now tell me to go to hell.
I think that it matters not what people here say. What you do in your life is what you will be judged on in the afterlife. Or rather, everlasting life, so you hope. I mean the bible explicitly says that it is a sin, but you are not feeling it is in your heart. So do what you want to do, read the bible and take it how you want, and pray to God for some ideas.

Hello everyone this is a hot topic. Everyone sins and no man is perfect. But the bible does say that nor men lying with other men will go to heaven, and Jesus did say for every man there is a woman and every woman there is a man, and the bible said it is the word from God himself written by men and as they were bore along with God holey spirit. The bible also says that it is true and right and God can not lie. And the bible says that it is complete nothing can be taken away or added, and it is good to reprove and make straight the path of man. So all men are sinners and it is wrong to think that a sinner could not be a christen because there would not be christianity if there were no sinner allowed, Jesus would stand alone as the only one that was on earth because Jesus was without sin. The point of christianity is because God so loved the world so much he gave his only begotten son Jesus to forgive our sins. So christianity is a tool by God to teach us people right form wrong, and the bible does say that men lying with other men is wrong. So be a christian and learn form the bible and turn around from being gay, and you will be forgiven by God, if not you will not go to the kingdom of heaven, that is what the bible says. No know one is perfect and we will never be with out sin right now. I sin also and try not to do what is bad, when i learn form the bible that something is wrong I try my all not do it. God does not expect you to just all of a sudden turn around and not do this gay thing he is slow to anger and he is patient with us he know we learn slow, all God expects is that we use the bible to learn what is right and wrong and he expects us to work on it. We will struggle but it can be done. I struggle with many things but am getting better day by day. So just try to not be gay and pray to God for help, if the prayer is in line with Gods will he will answer the prayer. And praying not to be gay is in line with Gods word. God loves all of us, and he does not want any one to die so he will give us all a chance to turn around form our sin. But we must turn around we must stop doing what is wrong and then pray to God for forgiveness and he will forgive, this is called repentance.

Well actually...some people would call it blather!
And I am one of them.
Being christian means striving to be more like Jesus. It is not about being perfect, it is about forgiveness. Accepting sin is bad, rejecting it is good. In a Christian context, there is nothing more to say.
Oh, don't you recall that Jesus said to his followers, be perfect just like your father in the heavens is perfect. Why do you think he said that? What is the point of a law? The bible is in fact a law, it is call the perfect law. In which God uses to guide his people back to the state of being perfect. You say how? Who were the two first parents in the bible? Well Adam and Eve were, were they perfect? Yes they were, and after Adam and Eve sinned against God They were put out of the garden of eden, and set on a path of death, and God took his protection away form them. You know the rest of the story. Then in Genesis at 3:15 if you would like to read it it talks about the promise seed which is Jesus that will undo all that satin did in the garden of eden. So Jesus was sent to earth to balance the scales of justs, sin entered the world through one perfect man Adam and sin will be taken away with one perfect man Jesus. What is the point of sin being taken away? Is it just so we can say we are striving to be more like Jesus? Or is there a different motive by God here. Yes the real point behind God the all Mightys plan, is to get people back into his perfect family? If you would take some time and read the book of psalms where it says that the earth is established on a firm foundation and is not made to toter, read Eccleseasties where it said that the earth will last to times indefinite. And then finally read the book of Revelations Where it says that God will put an end to this evil system of things, and he will bring in his new kingdom, with Jesus sitting on the thron and his 144000 chosen people to rule as co kings and priest. These ones will start the Millennium a rain of Jesus for a thousand years, in which Jesus and the 144000 will in fact teach us to be perfect. Then we will be judged on our deeds, and if we remain in Gods Kigdom we will get everlasting life. Then in the book of Revelations God says I will indeed be with them and I will call them my peoples. Yes we will be part of God family again because we are then made perfect again. So Gods plan in the book of Genesis with Adam and Eve was perfect, and his plan is to get it back that way. With all perfect people and the whole earth a paradise. Yes we will be on the real earth in a real paradise as Gods perfect family.
Well, "bigoted" is a very loaded way of putting it. I think I can respect the views of Christians who are good people, but still feel that homosexuality is wrong. I don't think professing to be a Christian means you are mandated to agree with homosexuality - it might mandate a Christian's behavior toward homosexuals, in that they'd still have to treat them with all the care and kindness they would anyone else. But I don't think that means they have to answer "no" when asked "Do you think homosexuality is a sin?"
I think it is possible for someone to dissaprove of something about a person, and still have real love for them.
Kinda sorta agree with you there, snood - the "Hate the sin, love the sinner" thing. What Christianity anethamizes is not alternate sexual orientation, it is alternate sexual practice and by extension the advocacy of same. Absurd, of course, but thems the rules the proponents of The Theory of Christianity have written down for themselves.
Yes i agree with you also love the person and hate the sin. We are again all sinners and I don't want anyone to hate me for the sin I do. We all have problems in different ways one person is a thief and another is a liers, and yet another is a worshiper of money. But make no mistake about it the bible is not a theory, it is truth and the bible is something that is both history and future. We need to worship God the way he wants us to worship not the way we want to worship him, so no theory here. People just want to do what they want to do and they want to belong to a church that will not condem them for it. The church will say having a gay bishop is not wrong that is our theory, but the bible condems it but they allow it. So who is realy worship God the way God wants?
Thank god I am not a christian

Seemingly no longer.
Read today that a soon to be promulgated directive will ban homosexual priests and seminarians. Even if they neither practice nor promote,
How they will tell....................?????
Anyhoo, disgusting.
in which Church, Catholic?
Catholics are that way. I agree with the whole hate the sin love the sinner thing. anyhoo, "the prince" they aren't rules, they are moral, life guidelines that aid in not getting STDs and generally having a better 80 years on this damned rock than the rest of the blind mob. God Bless,

I agree. In fact, I often borrow that notion when I express my agnostic feelings about religious folks:
Hate the hypocrisy...not the hypocrite.
I'm not gay but I do enjoy a good blow job from a pretty girl. I also believe in Jesus. Am I going to heaven?
