Looks like a 0ne-two punch for some of us. They're saying the next one may clip the Downeast coast. Temperatures haven't broken the twenties since we got dumped on so there's still a lot of snow. Running out of places to put it!

it got soooo bad in 2015 that i resorted to carving cubby holes into the sides of the mountainous piles and tossing the snow inside...

Weather conditions sure are crazy lately here in Sarasota. We have a balmy 38 deg F with gusts of 15-25 mph here in so. FL. Close to record lows. Winds were howling overnight.

@Ragman,

i'm secretly glad high temps have stayed in the 20's up heeyah.

hardly any meltage, re-freeze or black ice to deal with (yet).

that'll change this coming week as temps sky-rocket into the low to mid 30's...

@Region Philbis,
That’s always the flipside of the temperature swings and then it’s mud season.

@edgarblythe,
We won't see 70º until June or maybe July!

Welp, it looks like we'll be doing it again, folks, with a bombogenesis/blizzard/nor'easter party starting up right around now here in Boston (already started south of us).

Accuweather says southern New England is looking at 18-24" with a high chance of power outages as this will be wet, sticky snow. It'll also be warmer afterwards than it was after the last one. This leads to my favorite (nawt!) tango, the push-pull of freeze-melt-refreeze.

This is how you get heart attack snow, folks.

PLEASE be careful shoveling or just pay the neighbor's kid (although by the end of this, s/he may be asking extortion-level prices).

And please check in and tell everyone how you're doing. I may make some bread; I'll see how I feel (still sick, and the bombogenesis thing is barometer drops 24 millibars in 24 hours, I understand. Probably another source of my sinus headache that just won't quit).

Photos of the snow, you beating it back with a stick, or just sitting by the pool to make us all jealous are, of course, always welcome.
