I just realized why Bush didn't order hurricane/flood relief sooner than he did.
Bush did state, you will recall, that he believed in delegation. I guess we should dub him the great delegator president.
He remember that Noah and his Ark managed to save human and animal life on the planet during the 40 days and 40 nights flood of the Bible. He had instructed FEMA to build a fleet of Arks and a staff of animal control officers to take care of things along the Gulf Coast. Of course, he also ordered screeners to make sure only the right kind of people be allowed on the arks.
Satisfied that he had prepared for the worse, he toddled off on his month long vacation in Texas.
Now all of this makes sense, doesn't it?
Has anyone got Noah's cell phone number?

I should have known something had gone wrong with Bush's Noah's Ark building rescue plan when it didn't have Laura Bush at a christening ceremony at the Ark building shipyard.

At last, a friend sent me Noah's cell phone number.
It is (800) GOD.
Why didn't I think of that?

Noah's cell phone number
I tried calling (800) GOD all day, but the line was constantly busy. Finally, this evening, the phone rang for about a minute. Then someone answered, "911 Emergency Office."
"What, isn't this God?"
"No, this is the 911 Emergency office in Huston, Texas. Do you have an emergency?"
"Hell yes, I have an emergency," I yelled.
"What is your location?"
"The Gulf Coast," I screamed.
"We are not in your service area. Please call the 911 emergency office in your local area."
"There is no local emergency office in my area, they are all under water," I sobbed, "that's why I tried to call (800) God."
"God's not in this office."
"But I prayed," as I got down on my knees. "Please send help to us."
"click"....dial tone.

With tears running down my cheeks, I tried the (800) God number again. This time I got a recording, "This number is no longer in service."

Husker, dear, if you don't like my posts, you are not required to read them. I really won't mind if you don't because they upset you.

Amigo, be a good fellow and give me a link. I'm too lazy to go hunting for it and I'm not sure which thread and which of McTags' fine posts you are referring to.
