@Lash,

Let me be clear—Trump’s own government is his greatest danger.

But it's not clear what role "Trump’s own government" would play in your estimating that the odds of his returning are 50-50. For instance, your reference to "Trump's own government" is ambiguous. Do you mean that the present government of the USA would try to prevent him from taking office through an assassination? Or do you mean to imply that he faces a threat from within his own government after he takes office? Is the source of your trepidation from reports you have read online, like your scoop a few days ago about the coup against al-Assad? Or is this fear solely a product of your imagination?

@hightor,
The same ones who facilitated the previous assassination attempts will likely facilitate another.

You have FAR too much time on your hands.

What evidence do you have that the two firearms-related incidents were "facilitated" by anything other than the ability of disturbed individuals to own high-powered weapons? Neither of the gun-wielders has been shown to have had any training or prompting by elements of the US government. Neither of them were the sort of individuals who would be tapped to carry out a successful assassination of such magnitude. The obvious incompetence of the alleged plotters you speak of – "the same ones" – suggests that the motivation of the gunmen originated within their own mind.

The way I manage my time is completely immaterial to any discussion we have here. Look, you're the one repeatedly sharing paranoid fantasies and posting cryptic statements from unidentified sources. I'm trying to find out where you are getting your information and why you believe it to be worth sharing.

The MAGAs are waking up about trusting their party heroes.
Trump, Elon, and Vivek have infuriated half of them.

Lefties are trying to attract them to a Workers’ Party.
Yay!!

Former President Trump posted a video of Jeffrey Sachs (left-leaning geopolitical analyst) referring to Netanyahu as a "deep dark son of a bitch" and also said that Netanyahu had been responsible for pushing the US into several wars / military misadventures in the Middle East.

As a result, Netanyahu canceled plans to attend Trump’s Inauguration.

This is YUGE.

Days after this, it is being widely reported (inferred from great wailing and gnashing of teeth by Ben Givr, Smotrich and various other Israeli politicians) that Trump ‘forced’ Netanyahu to accept the ceasefire plan that Israel has rejected three times over the past year.

Nobody can say definitively that this has happened or that this incredible deal will hold, but if it does, it is a lightning strike for the incoming administration and a load of **** piled on the outgoing government and its party.

In my wildest dreams, Trump sees how life for the Palestinian people must change and gives them back their land and freedom. But I’m thinking Israel will assassinate him for this.

“We are the first to pay the price for Trump’s election. We are being forced into this [Deal]. I don’t think this is what we planned or expected. We thought we would take control of the northern Gaza Strip and prevent humanitarian aid from being brought in.”

@Lash,
I saw that story. Gobsmacking (without being surprising) zionists gonna zion.

Ben-Gvir boasts of blocking Gaza hostage deal 'time and time again'
"In the past year, through our political power, we succeeded in preventing this deal from moving forward, time and time again," he noted.

@hingehead,
Here’s the thing.

I’d love for this to happen but it’s too hard to believe.

Trump is bought by Miriam Adelson. He has packed his cabinet with rabid Zionists, flush with AIPAC shekels. They have already been paid for the job they had better do.

Trump cannot change horses in the middle of this stream no more than Biden, Blinken, Sullivan et al could—without existential danger.

So. Once you look at the facts and they don’t fit, you have to wonder what they’re doing and why.

Of course, I have my opinions. They’re not good. We’ll see what happens.

This ceasefire may go into effect. I think it’ll be ended with a huge 911-type false flag event. Hence, Trump’s AND Israel’s PR is raised significantly—and then Israel has the sympathy to violently expand through the Middle East.

So. Obviously I hope I’m wrong.

I’d love the truth to be this narrative as it’s being presented.

@Lash,
Sorry for the confusion - I was only commenting on that particularly story - not your postulation. That it was reported in Jpost seemed amazing enough. To me it signalled what we've all known - this was never about hostages and all about eliminating the Palestinians and acquiring their land.

Really? What would be gained for the Israeli state by doing that? Given the required logistics it seems like a pretty far-fetched idea, the product of some conspiracy nut's overly-active imagination.

Trump has not responded publicly as of this moment to my knowledge.

@hightor,
It's the Saudis, during Trump's first term they were happy with a Gulf State/Israel anti Iran axis in order to access US miltary technology.

Not any more, following events in Gaza Palestinian statehood is now a red line that MBS will not cross, as much for his own security as anything else, (Saudi Arabia is the birthplace of The Prophet, not to mention Al Qaida, IS and the extreme form of Islam, Wahhabism.)

The Israelis are now seeing truth in the old adage, Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what your country can do for Donald Trump.

Trump has reportedly moved the location of his inauguration twice in the days before the ceremony.

Trump relocated to an indoor location first, and now reports suggest he’s moved it to the White House.

His critics argue that he wants to avoid the cold or that he wants to camouflage a reduced turn out. Many Democrats have expressed publicly that they will not be attending.

Trump supporters frequently point to the previous assassination attempts against him as the likely reason he’s chosen a smaller indoor venue.
