I've been watching CNN's coverage of the Florida Hurricane, and I can't believe how many live reporters are covering it STANDING OUT IN THE RAIN!!!! Mr. Glitterbag switched stations and suddenly I see Anderson Cooper standing next to a river that is overflowing the barriers and I wonder WHO is in charge of sending people out in water during a HURRICANE. Will someone have to be dragged into and drown in the raging water before it stops? Holy Crap people, this is nuts.
@glitterbag,
I could never understand why they ever did this . Do you think the insurance companies approve of the risk? More importantly, what does it prove? Absolutely nothing. Bonehead broadcasting .
Incidentally, I’m back in so. FLat ground zero in SARASOTA and the eye has come and gone and the howling has returned. Fun!
@Ragman,
glad you're okay... stay safe
!
@izzythepush,
I’m guessing the wind speeds at being in excess of 100+ mph before the eye of the storm traveled over. Eerie when it happens as the winds and rain just dies off. 30 minutes later, they crank up again for awhile. The dry air mixed in so little rain fell but the roaring still went on. Drifted off to sleep about 1:30 am and visions of sugar plums danced in my head. I wakened to see paradise again.
@Ragman,
Not Paradise Lost?
That's a pun I've been expecting ever since I heard the name,
