Hi,

I'm looking for references on what nations are in the coalition of the willing in the war against Iraq. More specifically, i would like to know what nations have contributed combat forces. If you can refer me to an article or website, i'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Terry S

There are already a few threads on that subject.

The coalition of the willing: Who are they?

The U.S. is almost alone in its war

The State Department released its annual appraisal of human rights conditions in 196 countries around the world. Several of the 49 members the US says are part of its coalition against Iraq are also cited in the report for rights records that "remain poor" or for serious problems in protecting human rights.

Coalition members criticised in report
Albania
Angola
Azerbaijan
Colombia
Domenican Republic
Eritrea
Ethiopia
Georgia
Macedonia
Rwanda
Turkey
Uganda
Ukraine
Uzbekistan

What a joke!! Countries supporting the Iraqi invasion and criticising Iraq when they themselves are guilty of human rights abuses.

Ok - that helped a little, but...
Thanks for the partial answer Frolic. One of your links took me to my own post. (maybe I did something wrong).

Here is a list of the Coalition for the Immediate Disarmament of Iraq
http://edition.cnn.com/interactive/world/0303/coalition.nations/content.1.html

I put a "*" by those whom I know have contributed some combat forces, which includes Brittain and Australia. I also would add Canada, because they have 21 combat forces who were deployed along with the US troups with whom they were already stationed state-side. Although that country does not appear on the Coalition list.

Can anyone tell me what other countries on this list have contributed fighting men and women? If so, please give a news source.

COUNTRIES: A-E
Afghanistan
Albania
* Australia
Azerbaijan
* Britain
Bulgaria
Colombia
Czech Republic
Denmark
Dominican Republic
El Salvador
Eritrea
Estonia
Ethiopia

COUNTRIES: G-N
Georgia
Honduras
Hungary
Iceland
Italy
Japan
Kuwait
Latvia
Lithuania
Macedonia
Marshall Islands
Micronesia
Mongolia
Netherlands

COUNTRIES: N-S
Nicaragua
Philippines
Poland
Portugal
Romania
Rwanda
Singapore
Slovakia
Solomon Islands
South Korea
Spain
Turkey
Uganda
Uzbekistan

Thanks again!
