We brought the lottery bill to a vote with two dissenting republicans out of town, one sick and one on his honeymoon.
Oh, the wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth!!! Sneaky, unethical, bending the rules to suit an underhanded purpose.
Why what's next? Will we be appointing UN representatives while Congress is on break?
Meanwhile the vast najority of NC residents wanted the lottery, and many who voted against it will be going back to private life come next election.
A win win situation.
