It's been a while, but I miss my you all
Hoping they are somewhere safe and comfortable. Looks like there are still 100,00 without power, so as much as an ordeal that must be (!) I'm hoping that's the worst of it for them
I think chai2 also lives in Texas – don't know if it's anywhere close to Houston.
It killed seven. But I came through okay, just lost power until 2 days ago. Got internet less than an hour ago.
As the storm neared I got repeated tornado warnings. The nearest actual tornado hit on the other side beyond Tomball. It was a strange event, for the hurricane force winds came in pockets. Tomball was said to have a hundred mile an hour wind, while here I got a normal high wind such as we get in a thunderstorm. It blew through in a couple of hours. If I hadn't lost power I wouldn't have thought much of the event at the time. My daughter had power so she brought us her generator, so we had TV and kept the refrigerator cold. We had
restored power 2 days before the part of our neighborhood just across the street. edit - PDiddie lives in Houston. I need to check on him now.
@edgarblythe,
I'm glad things are getting back to normal, Bravo Edgar.
@glitterbag,
Thank you. The family across the street still has no power. That side of the neighborhood is using a different transformer.
@edgarblythe,
I'm so glad you're okay. I feel like you still have a lot more stories to tell.
@cherrie,
I was trying to finish putting a new book together. The delay set me back a week.
