Pat Robertson, rich television evangelist, is the Prince of Ignorance and an inadvertant supporter of the Liberal cause. What conservative would want be identified with this Cuckoo bird or associated in anyway with this loud-mouthed loony?
Latest pronouncement: We should assissanate Hugo Chavez, president of Venezuela. Did he mean it? Naaahhhhh. He was just, well . . .
he was just well . . .
A few of Robertson's earlier comments:
*****Accepting homosexuals would bring earthquakes, tornadoes and possibly a Meteor.
*****Feminism encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, and become lesbians.
*****America is doing to evangelical Christians what Hitler did to Jews.
*****Planned Parent hood teaches bestiality to children.
Liberals should hope Robinson keeps his loud mouth open and his ties with George W. friendly and strong.
I saw on a rerun of Theh Daily show the other day where Robertson made a pronouncement that was overlooked at the time. This was before he made his Chavez announcement, but rerun just a couple of days ago.
Robertson wanted everyone to pray that there would be more openings on the Supreme Court so conservatives cna be appointed.
Which wouldn't sound so bad, until you realize that the only way an opeing occurs is if something terrible happens. Like a justice dies, or in O'Connor's case, her husband gets sick.
Rehnquist has cancer, and he's not going to retire until he physically can't go on anymore.
Nobody ever leaves just to retire and play golf.
So Robertson's "prayer", as well he knew, was the equivalent of wishing some of the justices on the court will die so conservatives can take their place.
Then, a couple of weeks later, he comes out with the Chavez comment.
Getting awfully nasty and bloody-minded in his old age, isn't he? At that age, most people soften up.
